Leamington Cricket Club 4th XI v WEOLEY HILL on Sat 23 Jul 2011 at 1300
Leamington Cricket Club Won by 9 Wickets
Match report
A stroll for Leamington's 4th XI on Saturday!
Weoley Hill were given first use of a pacey wicket, but struggled against Leamington's openers Lewis Baker and Billy Hallett. Each took three wickets, aided by some excellent catching, none moreso than captain Ken Hopkins who held two blinders, before making a short trip to Warwick Hospital for stitches to a mouth wound! Mark Ryan hastened Weoley's demise with three wickets, as the visitors subsided to 128 All Out.
Leamington raced to a nine-wicket victory at better than a run-a-ball with a barrage of boundaries. Harry Philpot made a cultured 60* with 11 boundaries, whilst Hallett rounded of an excellent all-round match making 46*, including 11 x 4s.
