Henley in Arden II v Leamington Cricket Club 4th XI on Sat 25 May 2013 at 1.30pm
Leamington Cricket Club Won by 43 Runs
Match report
Leamington 4th XI maintained their 100% record with an easy win at Henley on Saturday.
Choosing to bat first, Leamington were indebted to a century second wicket stand between Billy Hallett (109*) and James Cutts (58) for a challenging total on a difficult wicket. Although Henley bowled well at the end of the innings, Leamington were able to total 208 - 5 in their 45 overs.
Initially, Leamington failed to bowl in the right areas and Henley made a confident start. The introduction of Jim Morton moved the game Leamington's away, his two wickets aided by smart catches from Callum Dixon. The evergreen Mark Ryan strangled the life out of Henley's middle order, claiming 3 for 6 in 10 overs. Henley made hay towards the end without ever challenging Leamington's total, as they closed on 165 -9.
