Match report Leamington 2nd XI earned a convincing victory at home to Himley.

Leamington's total of 252 was built primarily on good partnerships at the top of the order, though the middle and tail failed to wag, leaving Leamington well short of the 300 target that seemed reasonable at half way. A second league century for Richard Swann ensure Leamington made a strong start, firstly in partnership with Jack Bewick (25) and then Jon Wigley (28). Swann eventually fell for a well-made 106, after which Leamington fell apart despite 28 from Connor Grant. Himley's change bowlers stuck to their task and were rewarded when Elliott Thomas bagged 4 for 64, and leggie Tom Wall took 4 for 50.

Himley made a poor start in response against testing bowling from Paul Lawrence and Tom Davison (3 for 46)who dismissed the top order in short time. Bopanna's clever use of the short ball accounted for two of his three wickets, and Himley seemed unlikely to make 100 at one stage. Leamington took their foot of the gas though, and the final two wickets added over a 100 for Himley, with number ten Cox ending unbeaten on 37, before Jon Wigley took the final wicket. Aided by the ever-generous Leamington extras - 46 on this occasion - Himley were dismissed for a respectable 182.
