Walmley v Leamington Cricket Club Under 13 on Sun 09 Aug 2015 at 09.45
Leamington Cricket Club Won by 12 runs
Match report
U13 Premier League
Leamington 169 for 4 (25 overs)
Walmley 157 all out (23.5 overs)
Leamington won by 12 runs and deprived Walmley of the title.
Having been put in to bat, Leamington got off to a strong start with Tom Boorman hitting a quick 18 then Louis Glover joined Cameron Mitchell and put on 95 runs together before Cameron was out for a quality 49. Louis went on to make 77 runs including 11 fours and 2 sixes. Against probably the best attack seen this season the final score of 169 for 4 left Leamington well placed at the break.
In reply Walmley were ahead of where Leamington were up until the 18th over, but kept losing wickets and once the dangerous Balaji was out the final few overs proved relatively comfortable. 36 extras could have proved costly, but some good catching and 3 run outs helped. The other 7 wickets were shared between Louis and Ben Beresford (2 each) and one each for Will Mobberley, Freddie Herd and Rohan Gogna.
A great way to finish an encouraging and enjoyable season, thanks to all the players and parents for your excellent work and support.
